Basic dyes

Dyeing is typically carried out by immersing the materials to be dyed in a hot water dyebath. Most products are dyed at temperatures in the range of 160-180°F (70-80°C). A thin layer of wax called the cuticle covers the surface of most plants. Penetrating this layer is very difficult using cold water. Heat helps melt surface waxes and opens plant fibers allowing for better dye penetration.

In the process of dyeing the texture of the plumes will not be damaged, after it is dried, it will be fluffy and lush as original.

Natural dry

After the pampas grass is immersed in the dyes water for a few minutes, the pampas grass is taken out and hanged to be dried under sun lights, this is the best ways to keep the plumes texture as original, the colored plumes will look like it is how it grow.
